Board Spotlight: Juan David Payares, FlaSEIA President
FlaSEIA President | PayOli Energy
Juan David Payares, Founder and CEO of PayOli Energy, was elected President of the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association (FlaSEIA) Board of Directors in 2026. He steps into the role with respect for the association’s legacy and its past leadership, and a commitment to serving members across Florida’s solar and storage industry.
“The strength of this industry is in its people. My commitment is to listen, bring us together, and help turn shared priorities into measurable progress.”
A Career Across Industries
Before founding PayOli Energy, Juan David built a career spanning global companies including GE, Electrolux, and Carrier. He brought that foundation — combining mechanical engineering, real estate finance and investment, operations, and entrepreneurship — to PayOli Energy, growing it into a full-service clean energy EPC firm. Through RoofTech by PayOli, he partners with builders and developers to integrate Roofing with Solar, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), and Microgrid Systems from concept to completion.
Leadership That Builds Resilience
Juan David served as FlaSEIA’s Membership Committee Chair before being elected President. As he takes on the role, he plans to focus on shared priorities, with an emphasis on: engaging with legislators and regulators on the policies that affect members, their businesses, and customers; connecting solar and storage stakeholders with construction, real estate, engineering, and finance; applying the industry’s expertise in solar, battery storage, and microgrids to the reliability needs of homes, businesses, healthcare facilities, and other critical infrastructure.
Shaping What Comes Next
Above all, Juan David sees FlaSEIA’s next chapter as a shared effort among the association’s board, staff, and members. He is focused on strengthening member value, workforce development, and professional standards, and on bringing the industry together around common goals.
